Please note that as these scholarship application windows open up, we will update this page with the new information and application deadline dates.  


I. All Seniors should look into the following:
     1. Potter's House ScholarshipsDownload the Potter's House Application Form HERE: One application for all 
         three scholarships. Due January 31
     2. Butterball ScholarshipDownload the Butterball Application form HERE: 
     3. Grand Rapids Community Foundation Scholarships: Applications accepted between January 1 and 5:00pm April 1.  Download the GRCF Scholarship application here

II.  College Specific Scholarships
     1. Calvin College - For Potter's House students attending Calvin College:  See the list here.  Calvin College 
         applicants automatically apply to these scholarships.  See your Calvin Financial Aid advisor.
         John M Perkins Leadership Fellows: Calvin's John M Perkins Leadership Fellows are a small groups of students 
             who are selected to participate in a series of leadership development opportunities during their first two years of 
             college.  These opportunities prepare Perkins Fellows to address big issues like poverty, injustice, racism and 
             materialism.  Perkins Fellows strive to be servant leaders who are committed to renewal and restoration of our 
             communities.  Deadline: Feb 1.
     2. Grand Rapids Community College 
            A  -Grand Rapids Community College Foundation Scholarships  Students must print and submit the application by mail or in person to the Financial Aid Office to be considered for any scholarships. (Deadline April 1)
                B. -GRCC Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "Inherit the Dream" Scholarship Application Deadline Dec 1
     3. University of Michigan Club of Grand Rapids Scholarship:  Deadline is Feb 5
     4. Grace Bible College - One Wyoming Scholarship - Click here for the application
     5. Lawrence Technological University and Ford Motor Company Fund - DESIGN FOR THE FUTURE  competition.

III.  OTHER Scholarship opportunities
     1. Carsons Scholars Fund: January 8
     2. Meijers - Scholarship opportunity  - for a student or student whose parent works at Meijers. - Due April 1 - application process opens Jan 1
     3. EduGuide: MLK Challenge: Due February 20 - $1000 scholarship AND $100 Amazon gift card prizes.
     4. TIP - Tuition Incentive Program Fact Sheet - Here
     5. Roger B Chaffee Scholarship Fund presents a $3000 scholarship each year to an outstanding senior from a 
         Kent ISD high school who intends to pursue a college career in engineering, mathematics, or the sciences 
         relating to space technology. Deadline: Postmarked by February 29.
     6. The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program Funded through the Comcast Foundation, 
            recognizes high school seniors from Comcast communities for their commitment to community service, academics, and 
            demonstrated leadership. To acknowledge these accomplishments, recipients of the award will receive a one-time grant 
            of $1,000.
      7.  Ronald McDonald House Charities US Scholarship Program - Deadline: January 20
    11. Buick Achievers Scholarship Program - Deadline is February 29
    12. Community Choice Foundation Scholarship: Deadline is Feb 15
    13.  Aspiring Nurse Scholarship - Deadline is June 30
    14.  Core Construction Jumpstart Program/Scholarship.  Deadline is April 15
    15.  Fostering Futures Scholarship: provides eligible foster youth with scholarship funds for tuition, fees, room/board, books and supplies/equipment required for enrollment.  The FFS is available to students on a first-come first-served basis.  
    16.  NAFEPA Scholarship Program:  The purpose of the scholarship program is to financially support post secondary education for qualifying seniors or high school graduates in attending their first year of college.  Two scholarships are for students pursuing a degree in Education.  The other two scholarship winners can pursue a degree in Education or any other major. Application is due January 9, 2017
